Trip Notes:
- This trip begins and ends in Buenos Aires, Argentina, which can be reached via daily flights on a variety of international airlines. Note that flights from the US are generally overnight, you will need to start your trip one day prior to the arrival date in Buenos Aires.
- Airline tickets with-in Argentina are required as follows: Buenos Aire/Aeroparque airport- Ushuaia-El Calafate-Buenos Aires. Approximate cost for these flights is currently approximately $490-$600. Exact quote will be provided once you have made a deposit on your trip and we can reserve your flight itinerary.
- Notes on Ice Trekking/Day 9: The trekking is MODERATE. The ice surface is irregular but firm and safe. Land transportation from El Calafate is on a shared basis, it does NOT include guide and includes one hour visit to the glacier’s boardwalks. Entrance fees: These are NOT included in the rate, so participants are to pay upon arrival to the entrance of the National Park. The ticket costs $ 45. - (pesos 45.-) and it is to be paid locally in PESOS (US Dollars or any other currency are not accepted).
- The tour is not recommended for: Pregnant women People with vertigo, overweight or some kind of difficulty to walk on their own or who need assistance. Passengers over 60 years old or children under 12 will not be allowed.

- Notes on Big ICE option for Day 9: This tour has a demanding schedule, including 7 hours walking on ice and uneven terrain and is only advisable for passengers in very good physical condition.. Due to park regulations and insurance policy, passengers over 45 years old will not be accepted on this tour.
- Latin American Escapes offers excellent discounted international airfares from most US cities, local airpasses, and complete land packages through-out Latin America.
- Additional hotel nights can be added in Buenos Aires before or after the trip, as well as extensions to Iguassu Falls, the Valdez Peninusla, visits to estancias, and travel to other destinations in Latin America. This trip works especially well for adding on an expedition sailing on the Stella or Via Astralis from Punta Arenas, and/or visits to Torres del Paine National Park in Chile.
- Included: Hotel Accommodations as specified (combination of 4 and superior 3 star hotels, all with private facilities and carefully selected for their local color), breakfast daily & other meals as noted, excursions and land transfers as specified, expert bi-lingual and naturalist guides, shared tours/services in El Calafate, El Chaltén and Ushuaia, private services in Buenos Aires and Tierra del Fuego park tour, entrance fees to parks and reserves.
- Not included: Flights and airline taxes of any kind, departure taxes, insurance, and items of a personal nature, such as beverages, laundry, phone, excess baggage charges, and gratuities. Additional expenses caused by the delay or extension of a trip due to weather, political disputes, or other causes beyond our control. Entrance fees to Los Glaciares NP (Perito Moreno glacier).
- Upgrades to more deluxe hotels can be arranged based and on additional charge in most locations.
