In the far south of Chile, in the Patagonia region of the continent, you find Torres del Paine National Park. These lands are crowded with glaciers, lakes, fjords, ancient forests and wildlife such as guanacos, flamingos, condors, ñandus and huemules and also offer some of the most magnificent trekking and nature in the world.
Across the border with Argentina, lies a similar, but more remote landscape in Los Glaciares National Park. Here you'll find the trekking and mountain climbing outpost of El Chalten
On this trip you'll trek the highlights of both regions while staying a variety of accommodations: upscale EcoCamp, local mountain refugios and quaint hosterias. Hike 5 days in Torres del Paine, and 3 and a half days in Glaciares National Park. The trip is topped off with a tour of Perito Moreno Glacier, and the chance to "ice-trek" across this phenomenal landscape.
